Swifties Bet Big: $4M+ Already Traded on Taylor Swift's Upcoming Wedding
Over $4 million has already been wagered on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's anticipated wedding on prediction platform Kalshi, with bets covering the venue, date, and wedding party lineup.
Prediction platform Kalshi has recorded over $4 million in trading volume tied to the anticipated wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce — and the couple hasn't even made an official announcement yet. Bettors are placing wagers on everything from the venue and ceremony date to who will stand beside the couple at the altar.
The numbers reflect a broader explosion in entertainment-related prediction markets. Kalshi reported that entertainment trading volume jumped from $43 million in 2024 to more than $300 million throughout 2025. Music markets alone crossed $400 million in the first quarter of 2026, putting the platform on track to reach $1 billion in total entertainment volume by year's end.
Where and When: The Hottest Markets
The venue question has attracted the largest share of bets, pulling in $2.26 million in trading volume — making it the top Swift-Kelce category on Kalshi. New York City currently commands 80% odds, while Rhode Island sits at 21%. Rival platform Polymarket is even more bullish on New York, with Manhattan specifically priced at 85% probability.
Fueling the speculation further is a street-closure permit filed near Madison Square Garden for July 3. While neither Swift nor Kelce is named on the document, the permit reportedly includes provisions for tenting outside the venue capable of hosting between 500 and 999 guests. The timing is notable: that weekend coincides with New York City's July 4th festivities and FIFA World Cup matches.
As for timing more broadly, Kalshi gives a 95.5% chance the wedding takes place in 2026. Polymarket places the odds of it happening before August 31 at 96%.
Wedding Party Odds Draw Serious Attention
Beyond the venue, separate markets are tracking who will be part of the wedding party. On the groom's side, Jason Kelce leads groomsman odds at 89%, with Patrick Mahomes close behind at 72%.
For the bridesmaids, Abigail Anderson Berard tops the list at 85% odds for maid of honor. Selena Gomez follows at 76%, with Gigi Hadid at 54%. Notably, Blake Lively and Brittany Mahomes have each dropped to just 8% odds in recent market movements.
Prediction Markets Hit Record Highs — and Kalshi Eyes $40B Valuation
The Swift-Kelce betting frenzy is arriving at a moment when prediction markets are breaking records across the board. Kalshi reported 865,411 monthly active users in March 2026, a 118% increase compared to the same period a year prior. Monthly notional volume soared to $23.89 billion — a staggering 1,107% year-over-year increase.
To put that growth in context, monthly platform volume stood at roughly $1.2 billion in April 2025. By March 2026, it had surpassed $25 billion. Against this backdrop, Kalshi is reportedly seeking a $40 billion valuation in an ongoing funding round, up significantly from a $22 billion estimate just one month earlier.
The platform has also broadened its reach through a partnership tied to World Cup predictions, adding new categories to its growing market ecosystem.
Women Traders and Political Headwinds
One of the more striking trends Kalshi has highlighted is demographic: the share of female traders on the platform has doubled over the past year. Analysts suggest that celebrity-focused markets are pulling in users who would otherwise never engage with traditional trading platforms.
Additionally, research indicates that U.S. voters are increasingly turning to prediction markets as an alternative to conventional polling when gauging political outcomes — a sign of the sector's growing mainstream credibility.
Despite this momentum, the industry faces legislative uncertainty. A bill aimed at banning prediction markets has circulated in Congress, though it has not yet passed both chambers. For now, platforms like Kalshi continue to expand their footprint across sports, politics, and pop culture — with Taylor Swift's wedding serving as the latest proof of concept.
