Ripple President Monica Long is set to make a high-profile appearance at XRP Seoul 2026, a major blockchain gathering scheduled for October 3 in Seoul, South Korea. The event, organized by XRP Ledger Korea, coincides with Korea Blockchain Week (KBW) and is designed to bring together XRP holders, developers, and ecosystem contributors from around the globe.

The announcement was made through the official XRP Seoul X account, which confirmed Long's participation alongside a brief overview of her role at Ripple. As President, she oversees the company's Business, Product, and Engineering divisions, guiding Ripple's ambition to become a comprehensive platform for moving, managing, holding, and tokenizing value. Having joined the company back in 2013, Long has been instrumental in positioning Ripple at the crossroads of traditional finance and decentralized finance.

Her presence at the Seoul event carries significant weight, especially given South Korea's historically strong relationship with XRP. Unlike most global markets where Bitcoin and Ethereum tend to dominate trading volumes, Korean exchanges have repeatedly seen XRP surge to the top of volume rankings during periods of heightened market activity. As of now, XRP ranks as the second most traded asset by volume on Upbit, South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange by both user base and trading activity.

Beyond speculative interest, XRP is carving out real-world utility within Korea's evolving fintech landscape. Local startups, developers, and finance-oriented teams are increasingly turning to the XRP Ledger infrastructure to build practical, blockchain-based financial solutions.

A clear indicator of this growing momentum is the Korea Fintech Innovation Program (KFIP) 2026, which has emerged as the largest XRPL-native accelerator in the country's history. The program attracted 270 applicants, from which 12 finalist teams were chosen. XRP Ledger Korea subsequently announced five winning teams tasked with developing the next generation of financial applications built on XRPL.

With Monica Long taking the stage in October, the XRP community is watching closely. Her insights are expected to touch on XRP's expanding role in global payments, the convergence of TradFi and DeFi, and what the broader ecosystem can anticipate in the months ahead. For South Korean participants in particular, her keynote represents a direct line to Ripple's strategic thinking at a time when local blockchain innovation is accelerating rapidly.
